Rose, Bud, Thorn | Episode 21

We cannot control what life throws at us, but we can control how we choose to show up.

My Mum is my Hacking Happiness mentor and I could not be more proud of where I’ve come from. She was a farmer who raised three children on her own and then retrained as a yoga teacher at age 60. She went on to start her own yoga business teaching the elderly and youths with disabilities.

2020 was a tough year for many of us, but for mum, it was exceptionally challenging with her best friend of 50 years found murdered and another close friend suiciding amidst 6 months of lockdowns.

In this conversation (that we recorded during lockdown in September 2020) we talk about processing grief, intentionally adapting and finding joy no matter what life throws at you. We also share one of my favourite little gratitude hacks.

I hope you enjoy!
