Lucy's Impact Journey

Before coaching with Penny, Lucy felt…

  • Unclear on what the next step was for her in her role
  • Pretty low, like her value wasn’t being seen
  • Undecided on where career opportunities could take her

Why did Lucy decide to coach with Penny?

Lucy followed Penny’s socials and was drawn in by her approach. Lucy felt Penny was the right person to guide her through the next stage at work.

“Penny’s coaching style is direct and gets to the point, the insights are sharp and fast. This helped to put the focus where it needed to be, but the onus was still on me to take action.” Lucy

  • It was important to Lucy that Penny’s coaching was action-orientated, she equally liked that she felt held at the same time
  • Lucy’s goal was for Penny to help her understand what her value was and suggest where there might be potential opportunities for her in her career
  • Lucy deeply appreciated how Penny held the group space with trust, allowing everyone to contribute without one person dominating

What did Lucy take away?

Lucy found freedom in realising she is human too, just as messy as everyone else! This self-awareness was hard to vocalise in a group coaching environment at first, but ultimately very liberating.

Around the same time as starting the coaching programme with Penny, Lucy saw things shift in her workplace, as she shared with a colleague how she was feeling - Lucy found her voice.

“I have never been in a group coaching environment for self-development before, and I found it very confronting. But after vocalising my weaknesses in the group, I found it very liberating in the end.” Lucy

Lucy learnt…

  • The game-changing power of incorporating earthing techniques into her day - despite thinking she didn’t have time to add more to her to-do list
  • A reminder to drop into her body for the answers she was seeking and practice it daily. Lucy learned to ask her heart more when making a decision
  • To find her voice in a group scenario, and that being self-aware alone is one thing, but there’s a power in admitting it to other people

  • What does life look like now?

Lucy has renewed confidence and is able to recognise her own value.

“I have done a fair bit of self-development before, but I have realised that the journey never ends. The learning never stops.” Lucy

    As a result, Lucy can…

  • Recognise her value and learn to blame herself less
  • Realise the validation of her worth needs to come from herself first
  • Spot opportunities that might not present in the way she expects
