Slingshot: Using Words To Propel Us Forward
Does every day at the moment feel like a struggle? Do you wake with the intention to make the most of your time (get some exercise, do some productive work, home-school the kids, spend quality time with your partner, cook a healthy meal, get the groceries, check in on loved ones, avoid too much coffee…), then beat yourself up at the end of the day when your to-do list still appears full? Pre COVID-19 you prided yourself on your productivity and how organised you were, and now it feels like you can’t do anything right and it’s seriously impacting your MOJO.
You long to get to the end of the day and feel good about yourself, like you’ve achieved something meaningful, progress, even if it’s only small.
Slingshot: Using Words To Propel Us Forwardis the kickstart you need. This live workshop has one simple objective to demonstrate, through experimentation, how the language you use will determine your ability to adapt and activate your MOJO more often.
Who This Is For
Anyone who wants to feel better about themselves during self-isolation and is willing to invest in honestly holding up the mirror to their words and experimentation to make that happen.
We are all about experiential learning. We believe that the most effective learning occurs through honest conversation and experimentation. To that end, this program is run as an online classroom using Zoom with a maximum of 25 participants.
"As innovative as the title suggests, a Slingshot session really gets to the core of how words impact us and how we can better frame them to live a happier life. I have already found myself using the techniques we were shown and honestly can't wait to make this part of my regular routine! It's an hour and half out of your day that will be sure to stick with you and get you through these weird times."
"This workshop and the group participation was terrific. Reframing unhelpful thinking is a skill needed now more than ever."
"Everyone experiences struggles, even the most fortunate of us. Yet, there are ways to pivot and adopt different perspectives which might brighten your perceptions on them. This workshop helps you do exactly that!"
"Being vulnerable is uncomfortable but by deep diving into the reason behind your resistance, you may find you untangle negative feelings and move towards more positive ones more often."
We are all about transparency, so we like to give our participants a heads-up on what to expect. We provide a safe space but not a comfortable space because we know that growth does not occur in comfort.
Our number one priority is that our participants get the most out of their online learning experience. To that end, we lock all online classrooms at exactly 5 minutes after the scheduled start time to avoid disruptions. By purchasing this ticket, you agree to arrive on time. We are unable to refund tickets if you are locked out of a program due to late arrival.
We can’t wait to play with your words!

The objective of the Fear(less) Mini Masterclass is not to teach you how to get rid of fear - that’s neither possible nor ultimately desirable. Our aim is to put fear on the table, normalise it through honest conversation, and use it as a lever for enabling courageous action on what matters.
A simple initiative to amplify human connection and mental wellbeing in a world of social distancing.
An opportunity to intentionally invest in ourselves and each other, to make human connection a practice and our mental wellbeing a priority.
